My grant writing career began in 2001 in East Tennessee while earning my Master’s degree in Public Administration from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Since then, I’ve successfully developed proposals, written grants and managed projects, securing funding for universities, complex hospital systems and small grass-roots non profit organizations. My expertise lies with foundation grant support, with extensive experience writing for health and human service projects, program support, capacity building grants, bricks and mortar projects, and research grants.
Prior to founding The Write Intention, I was the Director of Foundation Relations at Children's Hospital of Orange County, where I secured over $7.5M from private and corporate foundations to support community growth, education, and healthcare programs. In my role as a grant consultant, I have raised over $4M in support for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations.
When I am not glued to my computer writing grants and interacting with clients, I am being mom to two very spirited daughters and wife of a very smart engineer.
